About Us

Hello! My name is Cassidy Mason, and I run Syringa Soapery from my home in eastern Idaho.

I started making soap in my early 20s after years of researching and wanting to start soapmaking. It fascinated me, and after several family members complained about how hard it was to find a good bar of soap locally that didn't dry or irritate their skin, I decided to jump into action after a little push from my husband! After experimenting with ingredients, recipes, and designs, I launched Syringa Soapery on Etsy in the spring of 2018. I started out selling to friends and family who wanted to see if there truly was an improvement over store-bought soap, and before I knew it, word spread that my soap was truly a vast improvement over anything you can find at the grocery store! Soon, people from different states and countries were buying my soaps, and I was able to improve my craft and equipment in ways I never thought would be possible in just a short while.

As the sole founder, owner, and resident soapmaker at Syringa Soapery, my goal is to create luxury, hand-crafted soaps and shampoo bars that, while they are luxurious and skin-loving, are also aesthetically pleasing and a delight to use. I am completely dedicated to offering you high-quality soaps and shampoo bars at a fair price that you can be proud to give as gifts to those you care about or use yourself.

I take great pride in the ingredients I use, and I have ensured that all ingredients I use are sustainably sourced, cruelty-free, and high quality.  We focus on using only the finest plant oils and butters, and even incorporate natural additives and botanicals into our recipes every so often, such as local Idaho honey, pure goat milk, kaolin clay, ground oatmeal, poppy seeds, and various dried flower buds and petals.

Though I started off with soapmaking, I have since added aluminum-free deodorants and beeswax body balms to my lineup. I will continue to add new bath and body products to my inventory as I develop these recipes.

It has been a wonderful journey to be able to run my own little soap shop these past few years, but I could not have gotten this far without the help and support from friends, family, and my customers! Your support of my small business is deeply appreciated. When you purchase from Syringa Soapery, you are helping me support my family and continue my passion so that I can keep sharing my creations with the world!

We are a proud member of the Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetic Guild!
